What are you building on?
Building your life is where courage comes from, and is intertwined with the your actions and the energy of the people who believe in you.
So here is how things stand for me atm. The latest Kickstarter run ended with the project funding, and now it is time for me to begin checking off new tasks. This is while there are other challenges. Knowing what needs to be done and managing the list keeps me from getting lost in my head, and keeps the project productive so everyone gets the rewards.
First thing is first in finishing the new pages from the stretch goals.
Dance the dance of joy
Send out the Backer surveys
Bask in the trust and faith of the backers.
Finish the Sketch cards and 7x10 sketches for the backing awards.
Make kick ass tiktoks of the sketches
Make last sweeps through the book, and add some bits from the Kickstarter.
Pray to the printing gods of Old, and sacrifice three pens and a notebook.
Order the print runs, bookmarks, books, and Hoodie stuff.
Load my guns for the next one.
Now I am putting this together and out there so you all see what I am working with, and to keep you all up to date. Finally to also keep my head straight. My family ran into trouble again, we lost my grandmother. There is some family drama regarding her passing I won’t go into here, but voicing where my head is here has always allowed me to feel like my voice was heard, and that keeps my head in the right direction.
Life is not perfect, and we get the things we prepare for as much as we get the things we just aren’t prepared for. Our Grit gets us through that as much as the friends and family that ride along with us, and I am truly grateful for the people who believe enough to back the things I create.
In the mean time however let me part with this. There is a lot more to come.
